Stealth Great Burger Find… At A Gun Range?

I’m going to be honest—I didn’t expect much when my buddy suggested grabbing a bite to eat at Brass Social.

I mean, it’s a restaurant inside a gun range after all. I fully expected a basic, forgettable burger you could get at any local joint.

I was wrong.

So wrong that it’s now become one of those places I keep finding myself going back to.

A “Hidden” Restaurant Inside a Gun Range?

If you haven’t heard of it yet, there’s a gun range off Blankenbaker Parkway called Next Level. It’s got a good-sized retail shop, a modern indoor range, and—apparently—a stealth restaurant tucked on the side called Brass Social.

My buddy invited me to meet up there and shoot a few rounds (which was a blast—literally). I’m a little rusty, as you can probably tell from the picture😅.

While we were there, we decided to grab some food. He mentioned they had “pretty solid wings,” so we figured why not? The restaurant atmosphere isn’t anything special to get super excited about (At the same time… can you really knock atmosphere when they have a built in gun range… I think not). The staff was super friendly and helpful.

That’s when things took an unexpected turn.

The Burger That Changed My Expectations

I ordered the Signature Social Burger with tots.

Look, I’m not a food critic. I’m just a man who digs a good burger. So, here’s the simplest way to explain it:

The burger comes with a sweet, jelly-like condiment that pairs ridiculously well with the fresh egg, applewood bacon, and angus beef. No ketchup needed. Everything just works beautifully.

It was delish.

Why It Stood Out

Lately, it feels like restaurant food has been kind of… well bland.

More expensive. Smaller portions. Less flavor. Places that used to be great just feel… off.

So when I bit into this burger, I was genuinely surprised. This wasn’t your typical “throw-it-on-the-grill” burger. It was different—in a good way.

Come to find out, Brass Social’s owner, Kevin Naive, owns his own farm and sources the meat himself, which probably has a lot to do with why the burger hits the way it does.

Quality matters. Local matters. You can taste it here.

Final Verdict

Truth be told, I’ve been back 3 times now. I can’t tell you about the other items on the menu, because in true man fashion… I keep getting the same meal every time I go the Signature Social. Hey! I like what I like, dangit! If you’re looking for a solid, fun experience with an unexpected food spot in Louisville, Brass Social Next Level is worth checking out.

Get the boys to meet up, fire a few rounds at the range. You can even rent a machine gun there… FYI (It’s on my to do list). Then grab a burger. Enjoy something different.

It’s fun. It’s tasty. Discover Kentucky approved.

And just to be clear—this is not a paid endorsement. They didn’t comp us, and honestly, I tried. Wouldn’t even meet with me when I reached out.

We’re just fans of a good burger. And a solid range.
And this one deserves the praise.
